FAN Women Empowerment Activities

Families Are Nations has been using the following initiatives and strategies to respond to challenges that affect family building in Zambia

In the process of practical family building, it is evident that 80% of developmental input is done by women. Therefore national development in terms of capacity building, sensitization and economic independence is vital in eliminating ills faced by women in the communities. FAN carries out the following women based activities:-

Capacity Building and Economic empowerment activities for effective family support mechanism

FAN TWAPALWA SME training, chicken rearing, landscaping activities in Mapepe

FAN Women Group Initiative products on display during the launch

The First Lady inspecting women’s activities during the launch

Raising couple involvement and awareness in fighting communicable health and social conditions affecting families at all community levels

Family Health awareness programs in family planning, Cancer and HIV/AIDS talks in process

Provision of social and sporting facilities to vulnerable children and youths in the community is vital in the fight against vices affecting this group of citizens. FAN has therefore designed various child development and youth programs which change the outlook and future prospects of our younger generation.

As outlined above, FAN initiatives can only bear effective results with sufficient support and partnerships with other corporate stakeholders. For further details the FAN Secretariat can be contacted at Plot 4636, Kadesh Barnea in Mapepe, Chilanga.
